Intransience: encountering the ephemeral; moments of a temporary existence
Intransience: encountering the ephemeral; moments of a temporary existence determines changing perceptions of built environments that metamorphose as transient spaces which are both impulsively and habitually navigated and become momentarily occupied.

An experiential representation explores the poetics of attribution amidst the movement of people who inadvertently populate the transient space; their relationship with the built environment; and the developing histories of those environments that are acquired and continue to fluctuate.
Amongst the mundane situations of the everyday, the ephemeral is conceded and constantly evolves in the transitory space. The personal myths and narratives of those who temporarily occupy those spaces remain unseen as they are realised and comprehended. Reflecting aspirations of love and loss, the compassion and callousness of what is prevailing, anticipated or yet to be encountered, is woven into the fabric of the built environment, a temporary meld that remains in the imperceptible ephemeral fragments of the transient space.
Thus a parallel universe is conceived, distant from the presence of invasive surveillant AI technologies and their objectives to gather data and control human activity in the mapping of new digital territories.

As if conjoined and silently conceived as the essence of a universal spirit of a space, the location acquires a community and a life-force that accumulates the intellectual, emotional, psychic and psychological connections of the transitory populace that temporarily experience and occupy it.
Questioning our relationship with the built environment and our presence in the transitory space, Intransience: encountering the ephemeral; moments of a temporary existence draws attention to and envisions those moments of unforeseen drifting segments of time that authenticate the occurrence of ephemeral existence.

As the location is defined as a transitory space, it develops and takes on new identities, intentionally or by chance, and its function unceasingly adjusts to the momentum of its temporary existence, as do its undisclosed and eternal secrets.
